It begins with a girl who LOVES dogs. Hi, my name is Jess, and this is my story...

In 2019, my partner Aaron and I discovered Yeppoon, a charming little seaside town that immediately captured our hearts. It didn’t take long before we decided to make it our home, dreaming of building a life filled with love, creativity, and family.

Our story truly began with a little dog named Ellie—a caramel-colored Cavoodle who brought boundless joy into our lives. Ellie wasn’t just our first fur baby; she became the inspiration behind a new adventure. With her bright personality as my muse, I started designing stylish dog accessories like bandanas, bows, and vibrant harnesses. What began as a small side hobby quickly grew into something more, and soon “Little Ellie Boutique” was born.

But as we all know, life has a way of surprising us. In 2020, the world changed. COVID-19 brought its challenges—uncertainty, anxiety, and a shift in the way we lived and worked. At the same time, my place of employment had to close, leaving me at a crossroads. I had a choice: stay in the comfort of a traditional 9-to-5 job or take a leap of faith and pursue my dream of building a beachside dog boutique, one filled with joy, community, and products that would bring smiles to both people and their pets.

And so, “Little Ellie Boutique” transformed from a passion project into a full-size storefront on Yeppoon’s main street. We wanted it to feel like home—a space that captured the warmth and happiness we felt as a family. Our fur family expanded with the arrival of Willow, a sweet, long-haired Mini Dachshund who brought even more love and excitement into our lives. Not long after, our greatest blessing arrived: our son, Liam, completing our growing family.

At “Little Ellie Boutique,” dogs and babies are at the heart of what we do. Pets are family, and for many of us, our dogs are our first babies. As families grow and welcome new little ones, these fur babies become loyal siblings, helping us navigate the beautiful chaos of family life. This deep bond is what we celebrate through our boutique, from the products we curate to the stories we share with our community.

The vision I had for “Little Ellie Boutique”—a fun, vibrant space that radiates love—has blossomed into something even more meaningful. We’ve grown, adapted, and welcomed incredible Australian brands into our store, all while staying true to our core values of family, connection, and joy.
